Join Catalyte to work on integrating various third-party APIs into our core platform. This project involves writing server-side logic in Node.js to connect to external services, transform data, and expose it through our internal systems. As an API Integration Engineer at Catalyte, you will be tasked with a critical project: expanding our platform's capabilities by integrating with key external data providers and service partners. Your work will directly enable new features and improve the data richness of our product.

Core Responsibilities:

• API Consumption: Read and understand the documentation for third-party REST and GraphQL APIs. Implement client-side logic within our Node.js backend to make requests, handle authentication (e.g., OAuth, API keys), and process responses.
• Data Transformation: Write code to map and transform data from the external API's format into the schema required by our internal systems. This will involve handling data validation, cleaning, and normalization.
• Service Development: Develop and maintain dedicated microservices or modules in our Node.js environment responsible for managing the lifecycle of these integrations.
• Error Handling and Resilience: Implement robust error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms to ensure the integrations are resilient to network issues or temporary API outages.
• Testing: Write automated tests (unit and integration) to verify the correctness of the integration logic and prevent regressions.

This project requires a developer with a solid understanding of backend principles and experience working with APIs. You should be comfortable with asynchronous programming in Node.js and have a methodical approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate with a team of backend engineers in an agile environment.

• 1-3 years of backend development experience, with a focus on Node.js.
