Synchrony is seeking an experienced AVP, Consumer Bank Product Owner – Digital API to join our innovative finance team. In this pivotal role, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for digital APIs that power our consumer banking solutions, from ideation to deployment and optimization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and prioritizing product features for API integrations that enhance digital banking experiences, such as mobile app connectivity, real-time data exchange, and third-party partnerships
• Collaborating with engineering, data, compliance, and business teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements and user stories
• Leading Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos, to deliver high-quality API solutions on time
• Monitoring API performance metrics, adoption rates, and user feedback to iterate and improve product offerings
• Staying ahead of industry trends in fintech, open banking, and API ecosystems to drive strategic initiatives
• Ensuring all API developments comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years focused on digital banking or API development in financial services
• Proven track record as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, with expertise in API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of consumer banking regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) and digital security standards
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Swagger, and API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft)
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders
• PMP or Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus
