Blume Global is seeking a Backend API Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our server-side logic and APIs. You will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. Your work will directly impact the reliability and scalability of our global supply chain platform. This is a key role in our engineering team, focused on building robust backend services.

In this role, you will be a core contributor to Blume Global's backend infrastructure. You will be tasked with building and maintaining the APIs that power our logistics and supply chain visibility platform. You will work within an agile development team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the demands of our enterprise customers.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and performant RESTful APIs using Node.js and frameworks like Express or Koa.
• Integrate our server-side logic with various databases, including both SQL and NoSQL solutions like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Develop data models and schemas that support our application's business logic.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of your code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration between the client and server.
• Optimize application for speed and scalability, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our backend systems.

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer who is passionate about building great software. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a solid understanding of backend development principles, including microservices architecture, data security, and API design.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in backend development.
