We are looking for a developer with a certified, fundamental understanding of HTML & CSS for an 8-month project focused on improving the quality and accessibility of our web application's frontend. Your primary responsibility will be to refactor existing components to use more semantic HTML and modern CSS, and to ensure they meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit existing UI components for semantic correctness and accessibility.
• Refactor HTML to use appropriate tags (e.g., <nav>, <main>, <button>) instead of generic <div>s.
• Implement ARIA attributes where necessary to improve screen reader support.
• Rewrite CSS to be more maintainable and scalable, using modern techniques like custom properties.
• Test the changes with accessibility tools and screen readers.

This is a specialized role for a developer who has a deep appreciation for the fundamentals of the web platform. It's not about building new features, but about improving the quality of what we already have. The HTML & CSS Fundamentals certification is required to ensure you have the solid foundational knowledge needed for this important work.
