We're hiring a Data Engineer for a 6-month remote contract. You will build and maintain ETL pipelines to move data into our Snowflake data warehouse, using Python, SQL, and Airflow. Strong experience in both Python and SQL is essential for this role.

We are looking for a Data Engineer for a 6-month contract to help us build and maintain our data pipelines and data warehouse. You will be responsible for extracting data from various sources, transforming it into a usable format, and loading it into our data warehouse (Snowflake) for analysis.

Project Focus:

The main project is to build a new set of ETL pipelines to ingest data from our operational databases (PostgreSQL) and several third-party APIs into our data warehouse. This will involve writing Python scripts, using an orchestration tool like Airflow, and writing SQL transformations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Write Python scripts to extract and load data.
• Write complex SQL queries for data transformation within the data warehouse.
• Use a workflow orchestration tool (e.g., Airflow) to schedule and monitor pipelines.
• Ensure data quality and reliability.

This role is suitable for a developer with a background in either software engineering or data analysis who is interested in data engineering. While no certification is required, proficiency in both Python and SQL is a must.
