Bissell Centre is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Edmonton. We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our IT team on a remote contract basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our database systems, which are critical to our operations, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You will ensure data integrity, availability, and security while supporting various departments in accessing reliable information.
Key responsibilities include monitoring database performance, implementing backups and disaster recovery plans, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop efficient data solutions. You will also assist in migrating data to modern platforms and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as PIPEDA.
