Life Fitness is enhancing its digital platform and requires a skilled Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and maintain our SQL databases. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our data systems. You will handle database backups, restores, and performance tuning. This is a critical role for supporting our connected fitness applications and ensuring a smooth user experience for our customers.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Database Administrator to join our technical team. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our database infrastructure, which supports our entire suite of digital products. Your work will ensure that our systems are reliable, efficient, and scalable.

Primary Duties

• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform regular database backups and recovery tests to ensure data integrity.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.

• 1-3 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database performance tuning.
• Experience with backup, restore, and recovery models.

• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
