Metasys is looking for a detail-oriented Database Migration Assistant for a short-term project. You will support our team in migrating data from legacy systems to a modern SQL database. Your responsibilities will include data validation, running migration scripts, and troubleshooting data integrity issues. This is a critical project to help us modernize our infrastructure, offering hands-on experience with large-scale data handling.

This is a focused, short-term project where you will play a key role in a major data infrastructure upgrade. As a Database Migration Assistant, you will work under the guidance of our senior database administrators and engineers to ensure a smooth and accurate transition of critical business data.

Project Scope

• Execute pre-written SQL migration scripts and monitor their progress.
• Perform data validation checks post-migration to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Document any discrepancies, errors, or issues encountered during the migration process.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data integrity problems.
• Collaborate with the team to perform test runs in staging environments before the final production migration.
• Maintain clear and concise logs of all migration activities for auditing purposes.

This role requires a meticulous approach and a solid understanding of SQL fundamentals.
