Your role will be to refactor existing code for better semantics, improve responsiveness, and fix cross-browser compatibility issues. This is an ideal project for a developer with strong fundamental HTML & CSS skills who enjoys polishing user interfaces.

We are undertaking a short but crucial project to enhance the quality and performance of our primary marketing website. We need a developer with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals to help us achieve our goals. Over this two-week engagement, you will be tasked with auditing and refactoring the frontend code for a set of critical landing pages.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Semantic HTML: Reviewing the existing HTML structure and refactoring it to use proper semantic tags (e.g., <article>, <section>, <nav>), improving SEO and accessibility.
• CSS Refactoring: Analyzing the current CSS and identifying opportunities to simplify, reduce redundancy using modern CSS features like Flexbox and Grid, and organize it according to BEM or a similar methodology.
• Responsiveness: Ensuring all targeted pages are fully responsive and provide an optimal viewing experience across a range of devices, from mobile phones to desktops.
• Browser Compatibility: Testing and fixing any styling or layout issues that appear in major modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
• Performance: Making minor performance improvements, such as optimizing image loading or reducing render-blocking CSS where possible.

This is a hands-on coding role. You will be given a clear set of pages to work on and expected to deliver clean, professional-grade code. You will collaborate with our lead web developer who will provide guidance and review your work.

• Strong proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3.
