We are looking for a skilled HTML/CSS developer at 3i People to build the front-end interface for a new web application. This project involves creating a clean, accessible, and interactive user interface using modern HTML5 and CSS3 features. You'll work closely with back-end developers to integrate the UI with application logic, ensuring the final product is both visually impressive and highly functional. A strong focus will be placed on semantic markup, ARIA roles for accessibility, and CSS animations for an engaging user experience.
This project is focused on crafting the user-facing side of a dynamic web application. Your main responsibility will be to translate UI mockups into a fully-realized, interactive interface. You will write structured, semantic HTML5 using elements like <nav>
, <main>
, <article>
, and <aside>
to build a logical and accessible document outline. This commitment to semantics is crucial for both search engine optimization and for users relying on assistive technologies.
Accessibility is a top priority. You will be expected to implement WAI-ARIA roles and attributes where necessary to enhance the experience for screen reader users, ensuring all interactive components are clearly labeled and navigable. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the application meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
On the styling front, you will leverage modern CSS3 properties to create a visually appealing and engaging interface. This includes using CSS transitions and animations to provide subtle, meaningful feedback to user interactions. You will also be responsible for styling complex elements like forms, ensuring they are not only beautiful but also user-friendly and accessible. You will need to write modular and maintainable CSS, possibly using a methodology like BEM, to keep the codebase organized as the application grows. You'll collaborate daily with backend engineers to understand data structures and seamlessly integrate your front-end templates.
The employer recommends obtaining this certification to validate your skills and enhance your application.
Note: You can still apply for this position without the certification, but having it will make your profile stand out and may be required to move forward in the hiring process.
