Symrise is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist Level 2 for a remote contract position, where you will provide advanced technical assistance, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain IT infrastructure to support our innovative fragrance and flavor operations. As an IT Support Specialist Level 2 at Symrise, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality technical support to end-users across our international organization. Reporting to the IT Support Manager, you will handle escalated issues from level 1 support, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems, and ensure minimal downtime for critical business applications.
Your responsibilities will include performing advanced diagnostics on desktops, laptops, and peripherals; configuring and maintaining virtual private networks (VPNs); and assisting with the deployment of new IT equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT policies, contribute to knowledge base articles, and participate in proactive system maintenance to prevent future disruptions.
