Morningstar is seeking a motivated JavaScript Developer to contribute to our suite of financial web applications. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client-side code, ensuring our applications are fast, responsive, and user-friendly. This role involves working with a mix of vanilla JavaScript and modern frameworks to deliver high-quality features that provide financial professionals and investors with critical data and tools.

As a JavaScript Web Application Developer, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to building and improving the digital products that define Morningstar's brand. You will focus on the client-side of our applications, writing robust and efficient JavaScript code that powers interactive charts, data grids, and user workflows.

What You Will Do

• Write clean, well-structured, and performant JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product managers to implement new features and user interfaces.
• Connect the frontend application with backend services via RESTful APIs.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and testing.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across different browsers and devices.
• Contribute to team discussions on code architecture and best practices.
• Help maintain and refactor existing codebases to improve quality and performance.

• 1-3 years of experience in web development.

• Familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs.
