We are hiring a Junior Backend Developer to join our team and work on our Django-based web application. This is a contract role where you will be responsible for developing new features, fixing bugs, and helping to maintain our backend services. You will gain valuable experience working with a production-level Django application, writing APIs, and interacting with a relational database. This is a great opportunity for a developer who is passionate about Python and backend development.

As a Junior Backend Developer, you will be an important part of our engineering team. You will be paired with a senior mentor and will contribute to all aspects of our backend development. This is a hands-on role where you will be writing Python and Django code from day one.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop new features and API endpoints for our web application using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Write and maintain unit tests for your code.
• Work with our PostgreSQL database, writing queries and managing migrations.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs reported by our QA team or users.
• Collaborate with our frontend developers to ensure that our APIs meet their needs.
• Participate in our agile development process, including sprint planning and code reviews.

• 1-2 years of experience with Python.
• Some experience with a web framework like Django or Flask is preferred.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and web development concepts.
• Familiarity with Git.
• A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
