Search Atlas is looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer specializing in Python and Django to drive the development of scalable backend systems. In this role, you'll lead a team in building innovative search technologies that power our platform's core functionalities.

As the Lead Backend Engineer at Search Atlas, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and optimizing the backend infrastructure that supports our advanced search and analytics platform. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with at least 3 years focused on Python and Django frameworks.
• Proven leadership experience in guiding engineering teams and mentoring junior developers.
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, database optimization (SQL/NoSQL), and microservices architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Knowledge of search engine technologies like Elasticsearch or Solr.
