• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (versions 2016 or later)
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL for querying, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Experience with database backup, recovery, high availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups, and clustering
• Knowledge of SQL Server security best practices, including roles, permissions, and encryption
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and Performance Monitor
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
• Experience with cloud databases like Azure SQL Database is a plus
