As a Node.js Microservice Developer at 81 North, you will be at the heart of our engineering team, building the scalable and resilient backend that powers our innovative AI products. This role is focused on designing, coding, and deploying individual microservices that handle specific business logic, data processing, and API integrations.

What you'll be doing:

• Service Development: Design and build new microservices using Node.js and TypeScript, following domain-driven design principles.
• API Design: Create clean, well-documented, and versioned RESTful or GraphQL APIs for your services.
• Database Interaction: Work with various databases, both SQL (like PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (like MongoDB or Redis), to store and retrieve data efficiently.
• Containerization: Use Docker to containerize your applications, ensuring consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
• Testing & CI/CD: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests for your services and work within our CI/CD pipeline for automated deployments.
• Collaboration: Work in an agile team with other developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners to deliver features and improvements.

• 2-3 years of professional backend development experience, primarily with Node.js.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
