INFUSE is seeking a skilled Semantic Backend Engineer to join our remote team on a contract basis, focusing on developing intelligent backend systems that leverage semantic technologies for enhanced data processing and AI-driven applications.

In this role, you will design and implement scalable semantic data models, integrate knowledge graphs, and optimize query performance to enable intelligent insights and automation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining backend services that handle semantic data processing and integration.
• Collaborating with frontend teams and data scientists to define APIs that support semantic querying and inference.
• Ensuring data security, compliance, and performance in distributed environments.
• Participating in code reviews, agile sprints, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

You'll work remotely, reporting to our engineering lead, and have the chance to innovate in a fast-paced tech environment focused on transforming industries through semantic AI.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in backend development with proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or Node.js
• Strong knowledge of semantic web technologies, including RDF, OWL, SPARQL, and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and natural language processing (NLP) concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus
