As the Site Reliability Engineering Lead at RELX Group, you will spearhead efforts to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our cutting-edge platforms that deliver critical information and analytics solutions worldwide. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will oversee a team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure that supports our diverse portfolio of services.

Your role will involve leading proactive reliability initiatives, automating operational tasks, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to define service level objectives (SLOs) and ensure our systems meet the demands of high-traffic environments. Key responsibilities include incident response leadership, capacity planning, and optimizing performance across multi-cloud deployments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Go, or Bash.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with incident management, on-call rotations, and SRE best practices (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets).
