Affirm is seeking a talented Software Engineer I, Back-end to join our Collections team in Madrid. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of backend systems that handle collections processes for our buy-now-pay-later financial services. You will work on building robust, scalable applications that integrate with payment gateways, ensure data security, and optimize workflows for efficient debt recovery while prioritizing user privacy and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing backend services using modern technologies, collaborating with frontend developers and product managers to deliver end-to-end features, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality. You will troubleshoot issues, monitor system performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
