We are looking for a certified SQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize our data warehouse. Your responsibilities will include ensuring database performance, availability, and security. You will work on query optimization, schema design, and data migration tasks. As a SQL Database Administrator, you will be the guardian of our data. Your mission is to ensure our databases are running at peak performance and are consistently available to our internal stakeholders. You will be involved in all aspects of database management, from initial design and implementation to ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Perform query tuning and optimization to improve the performance of critical business reports.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage database security, including user access control and permissions.
• Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas and stored procedures.
• Automate routine database administration tasks to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, and replication issues.

Our Environment:

We primarily use PostgreSQL and SQL Server for our data warehousing needs. Experience with cloud database services like Amazon RDS or Azure SQL Database is highly desirable. You will be working with large datasets and complex queries, so a deep understanding of SQL and database internals is essential. • 2-3 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
