We are looking for a certified TypeScript developer for a project focused on refactoring a large legacy JavaScript codebase to TypeScript. Your main task will be to introduce static typing, improve code structure, and enhance maintainability without breaking existing functionality. This role requires a deep understanding of TypeScript's type system and a methodical approach to large-scale refactoring. You will be instrumental in modernizing our codebase and reducing future bugs.

This is a specialized project for a developer who loves clean code and the power of static typing. We have a mature JavaScript application that we want to migrate to TypeScript to improve its robustness and developer experience. Your role will be to lead this migration effort.

Your Mission:

• Analyze the existing JavaScript codebase to identify the best areas to start the migration.
• Set up the TypeScript compiler and configure it for a gradual migration.
• Incrementally convert JavaScript files to TypeScript, adding types to variables, function parameters, and return values.
• Create interfaces and types to model the data structures used in the application.
• Refactor code to take advantage of TypeScript features like classes, modules, and decorators.
• Work with the existing test suite to ensure that your changes do not introduce regressions.
• Document the new TypeScript conventions and provide guidance to the rest of the team.
